Nice big showroom, unfriendly personnel
The website stated that the showroom was open on Saturdays between 09h and 12h. I arrived around 11h, no one greeted me but I assumed they were busy.
After a quick look around, I decide I would like to get an estimate, so I go wait patiently by some desks in the middle of the showroom.
While standing here, I see at least 3 different salesmen and saleswomen walking around.
Not one of them seems to notice me, but still, they could be busy with someone else.
Finally, after standing there for about 10 minutes (it's about 11h20 by this time), another salesman comes to me and asks me if I have an appointment.
When I say I don't and that I simply want to get an estimate, he looks at me bewildered, as if I'm asking him to predict the future. He tells me I should make an appointment to get an estimate, especially on Saturdays.
He then goes on to ask me if I'm working with a contractor. As if this is relevant in any way to me not getting an estimate. I can only assume that if I was working with a big contractor, they would be able to make time for me.
When it becomes clear that I don't, I'm brushed off with the repeated remark that I really should make an appointment on Saturdays.
I have never felt so belittled.
First of all, who visits a showroom for interior doors and does not expect to go home with an estimate. I mean really, people don't just spend their Saturdays looking at doors if they don't have an actual project going on.
Secondly, if an appointment is that important, would it be too much to ask to put this on your website. Instead of saying that your showroom is open between 9h and 12h, you could just make it "by appointment". Problem solved.
Thirdly, how long does it take you to make an estimate? Honestly, I needed 10 minutes of someone's time and there were at least 3 people running around.
Thank you for the experience, it's always great to get the feeling that a company does not need your clientele.
I will never return here and I will happily explain to everyone who likes to know, how I was treated.
